Creativity, Activity, Service (CAS) lies at the core of the Diploma Programme (DP).

Embracing a holistic approach, CAS aims to enhance and broaden students' personal and interpersonal growth, building upon their experiences from the Primary Years Programme (PYP) and Middle Years Programme (MYP).

CAS revolves around three main strands: creativity, activity, and service, which are defined as follows:

Creativity: Exploring and expanding upon ideas to create an original or interpretive product or performance.
Activity: Engaging in physical exertion to promote a healthy lifestyle.
Service: Participating in collaborative and reciprocal endeavors with the community in response to genuine needs.

The CAS Programme formally commences at the outset of the DP and continues consistently for a minimum of 18 months, ensuring a balanced involvement in creativity, activity, and service.

A CAS experience must:

Fit within one or more of the CAS strands.
Be based on personal interest, skill, talent, or opportunity for growth.
Provide opportunities to develop the attributes of the IB learner profile.
Not be used or included in the student’s DP course requirements.

Students’ service experiences involve the following stages:

Investigation, preparation, and action that meet an identified need.
Reflection on significant experiences throughout to inform problem-solving and choices.
Demonstration allows for sharing of what has taken place.

Learning Outcomes:

Completion of CAS is based on student achievement of the seven CAS learning outcomes. Through their CAS portfolio, students provide the school with evidence demonstrating the achievement of each learning outcome. Some learning outcomes may be achieved often, while others may be achieved less frequently. In their CAS portfolio, students provide the following evidence of having achieved each learning outcome at least once through their CAS Programme.
